The author of Alien Acquisition, a self-published science-fiction novel, was looking for an illustration featuring the haunting sillhouette shapes of his sasquatch/alien characters. After creating the monsters themselves, I incorporated the figures into the forest photograph the author supplied me, along with their corresponding shadow shapes. The result was a perfectly mysterious, supernatural design that aimed to capture the reader’s imagination (and fears) right from page one.
