A companion to the “Cat’s in the Mirror” series, the cover design for “Max’s Wild Night” was in the same whimsical playful style combining a mix of photographs and graphic elements. I enjoyed playing off the concept of “Wild Night” by using a large glowing moon, stars, and the dark mysterious forest in the background. The posture of the dog perfectly compliments the rest of the design elements, which was enormously helpful! Paw prints that trek across the cover, as in the Cats series, give the reader a glimpse of the adventure this dog is about to embark on. It’s always so much fun working on covers for author Meg Welch Dandler!
