This blog post is long overdue, but you know what they say…better late than never! Quite a lot has happened…
December 15, 2016.
Last month I had the unique opportunity to create a super-sized design. No, it wasn’t a billboard. Much more interesting: a TRUCK! The Arborists at Harrison-McPhee, Inc. needed a fresh look for their brand new spray rig that would be showcased on the floor of the New England Grows conference in Boston in early December. We went through a series of design concepts and finally settled on a green branch with leaves covering the entire side of the truck (also known as a “truck wrap”). We included their accent color of orange in a few leaves, as well as a red cardinal, a symbol that had sentimental meaning to the owner’s family. Also featured was the “Thrive” logo that I previously designed for the company, and a tagline promoting their stewardship approach to urban forestry.
It was a thrill to work on something so large-scale and permanent that will be driven throughout the greater Boston area on a daily basis!
